Actress Heather Graham recently shared insights into her co-star’s creative antics during the filming process, describing how Felton used his musical talent to entertain his fellow cast members. The film, which premiered at the South by Southwest (SXSW) festival in 2026, features a talented ensemble cast, including Graham, Zazie Beetz, and Myha’la.

In an interview, Graham revealed that Felton routinely brought his ukulele to the set, using it to inject some levity into long and arduous shooting days. According to her, he would often perform a light-hearted song about joining a cult, intended to amuse the cast amid the challenges of filming. “He was really funny,” said Graham. “He just made everyone laugh. It was such a fun experience.”

Beetz, who stars in the film as Asia Reaves, faced particularly demanding filming conditions, with some days stretching to twelve hours. The nature of the horror film required her to perform in freezing water, which she later described as leaving her “stripped raw.” Graham explained that Felton’s music was a welcome distraction for the exhausted Beetz. “He was trying to entertain Zazie, who was really tired. He would sing about how the cult’s not that bad. It was all in good fun and made light of how absurd the cult actually was,” Graham stated.

Aside from his musical contributions, Graham praised Felton’s acting abilities, describing him as a “great actor” who handled the experience with poise. She also noted that he appeared relaxed about the opportunity to work alongside seasoned actors. “It’s funny because at the premiere, he mentioned how excited he was to work with me, but while filming, he seemed so cool and composed,” she reflected. Myha’la added a playful comment, suggesting that Felton “was keeping it tight” during their collaboration.

*They Will Kill You*, directed by Kirill Sokolov and co-written with Alex Litvak, follows the story of Beetz’s character, an ex-convict who must survive a harrowing night inside the lair of a demonic cult. The film is described as a unique blend of horror and dark humour, setting it apart from traditional genre offerings. Sokolov expressed his enthusiasm about the project, stating that the initial responses to the script were overwhelmingly positive. “Everyone I spoke to about the script just got excited and believed in it,” he noted.
