Speaking with PEOPLE at the 2026 Snappy Awards Show in Santa Monica, Siwa described feeling a touch of “wedding fever” after witnessing the recent nuptials.

The 22-year-old singer, who is gearing up to celebrate one-year anniversary with Hughes, expressed how the celebrations spurred thoughts about her relationship. “Of course, it gave me the wedding vibes,” said Siwa, revealing that while their romance is still relatively new, she is open to the idea of marriage. “I mean, obviously our relationship’s very new. We’re creeping up on our one-year anniversary. So we’re getting there, but we’ve got time.” She added humorously, “I think that marriage is, of course, in Chris’ hands, and so when he feels the time is right, I’ll be ready. Maybe. I’m just kidding.”
Siwa and Hughes met during their stint on the reality show *Celebrity Big Brother UK*, with their romance officially confirmed in June 2025. Reflecting on their time together, Siwa stated, “It’s been the best year ever, and it’s only gonna go up from here.” However, despite their jubilant spirits, she clarified that plans for their anniversary celebration have yet to be made.
