Lance Bass and Joey Fatone, both members of the iconic boy band *NSYNC, have recently reunited for a spring break holiday at Sandals Royal Curaçao. Accompanied by their spouses, Bass’s husband Michael Turchin and Fatone’s girlfriend Izabel Araujo, the group had the opportunity for a much-needed escape in the Caribbean.
In an exclusive insight shared with PEOPLE magazine, Bass expressed his contentment with their trip, highlighting that it was the ideal setting for relaxation and camaraderie. “We leaned fully into vacation mode,” remarked Bass, revealing that he and Fatone had not spent spring break together in quite a while. He playfully reminisced about their earlier spring break exploits, saying, “Last time we celebrated spring break together, there was a foam party involved. Times have changed!”
During their stay, the group enjoyed leisurely days by the pool, engaged in thoughtful conversations about family and life, and indulged in some light-hearted ribbing of each other. Bass noted, “That part never changes,” alluding to the longstanding friendship between the two men. He and Turchin share two children, twins named Violet Betty and Alexander James, while Fatone has two daughters, Briahna and Kloey, with his ex-wife, Kelly Baldwin.
Embracing the island life, Bass mentioned that the couples found themselves immersed in the relaxed atmosphere of the resort, so much so that they lost track of time and missed a planned activity on one occasion. “At one point, we definitely lost track of time… and maybe a reservation… and maybe where we were supposed to be entirely,” he admitted with humour.
The selection of the Sandals resort as their vacation destination was an uncomplicated decision for the group. Bass described the location as “checking every box” for their needs, stating, “Great weather, incredible food, zero stress.” He noted it was the perfect place to unwind, laugh, and not take anything too seriously.
The couples enjoyed a luxurious stay in their own private Rondoval Villa, complete with personal pools and dedicated butler service. They also took advantage of the resort’s MINI Cooper Convertibles, exploring the island together while soaking in the vibrant Caribbean culture.
As Bass approaches his 47th birthday in May, he hinted that another reunion with Fatone might be on the cards. “I’ve learned birthdays are less about the big party and more about who you’re with,” he said. “That said, I’m not ruling out something fun.” He also joked that when Fatone is involved, “there’s about a 90% chance something slightly chaotic happens.”
Meanwhile, Fatone is preparing for the upcoming premiere of his new docuseries, *Boy Band Confidential: A Hollywood Demons Event*, set to air on April 13 and 14 on Investigation Discovery before being made available for streaming on HBO Max. Bass, who joins Fatone in this project, described it as providing an authentic glimpse into the world of boy bands, including the challenges and triumphs that accompany such fame.
“There’s a lot of history there, and I think fans are ready to revisit it in a more real way,” Bass concluded, emphasising the importance of honesty in their stories, both the glamorous and the gritty aspects of being part of a boy band.
