Levi’s journey began on November 5, 2023, when he was diagnosed with B-cell acute lymphoblastic leukaemia. The diagnosis came as a shock to his family, particularly for his mother, Lauren Buxman, who initially mistook his symptoms for flu. “I took him to the ER, and with leukaemia, they can detect it with a blood test. So within a couple of hours, we had a diagnosis,” she recounted. That single moment altered their lives dramatically, and Levi spent the next 70 days in the hospital.
In the ensuing two years, Levi faced significant health challenges, including spending 267 nights in hospitals and experiencing a stroke that astonished medical professionals with his survival.
