Oscar-winning actress Laura Dern is set to take centre stage in a new limited series that will explore the harrowing crimes of Jeffrey Epstein. The series, produced by Sony Pictures Television, draws inspiration from investigative journalist Julie K. Brown’s acclaimed 2021 book, *Perversion of Justice: The Jeffrey Epstein Story*.
Brown, whose extensive investigative work was published in the Miami Herald, played a pivotal role in unraveling Epstein’s sexual abuse network. Through her rigorous reporting, which involved scrutinising thousands of redacted court documents and interviewing numerous victims, she managed to shine a light on the dark dealings surrounding Epstein and the controversial plea deal he struck with federal prosecutors.
The project has been described by Sony Pictures Television as an “explosive account” that highlights Brown’s relentless quest for justice.
