“We had just launched the Upward Sports basketball programme at our church, and we wanted something fun on the wall, something that would resonate with people and bring a smile,” Dawkins-Camp recalled. “That’s how ‘Air Moses’ came to be. Later, we started a community pickleball league that plays three times a week in the gym, which gave us the perfect reason to create ‘Pickleball Paul.'”
As the murals gained popularity online, Dawkins-Camp expressed her joy over the church’s moment in the spotlight. “We even played a clip of the news segment during one of our worship services last week as part of our announcements,” she said. “It has been a delightful experience for our congregation to see how much love there is for our murals.”
