The Santa Ana Police Department is investigating the mysterious disappearance of 21-year-old Yasmin Gonzalez Benitez, a resident of California and mother of a young child. She was last seen on 15 March, shortly after informing her roommate that she intended to take a brief trip to Tijuana. This sudden vanishing has raised concerns, particularly as her actions have been described as out of character by those who know her.

Gonzalez Benitez left her residence on West Pine Street in Santa Ana, leaving her four-year-old daughter in the care of her roommate. Subsequent days without any contact led the roommate to raise alarms, prompting a search for Gonzalez Benitez. Authorities report that since her departure, both the roommate and investigators have been unable to reach her, leading to increasing concerns for her safety.

Officer Natalie Garcia highlighted the difficulties faced by detectives, stating, “Unfortunately, our detectives made numerous attempts to contact Yasmin’s brother and mother, and they’re being very uncooperative.” This lack of cooperation has hindered the investigation as authorities attempt to piece together her last known movements.
