A man from Northern California is in custody facing murder charges following the alleged killing of another individual using a hatchet. David Swank Prince, 35, from Chico, was arrested on Saturday, 21 March 2023, in connection with the death of Christopher Jaber, 34, in Lafayette, Contra Costa County.

Prince is currently being held at the Martinez Detention Facility. He faces a bail of $1,030,000 and is scheduled to make his first appearance in court on Wednesday, 25 March 2023.
