Jenny was last seen on the evening of March 13, when she left her residence without shoes, walking along MacIntosh Lane at around 5 p.m. An IAN alert, designed to help locate missing children who may have autism or mental health issues, was activated for Jenny, igniting efforts to find her swiftly. The alert was initiated by the Kentucky State Police (KSP), marking her as vulnerable due to her non-verbal and autistic condition.
After an extensive 25-hour search operation that mobilised various local agencies and enthusiastic volunteers, Jenny’s body was recovered from the pond at approximately 7:30 p.m. on March 14 by the Hamilton County Underwater Search and Recovery Unit. The recovery efforts involved searching over four square miles and included several bodies of water in the vicinity of her home. The BCSO later communicated that they had informed Jenny’s next of kin following identification.
