Reflecting on this harrowing period, Dorzon expressed gratitude for his survival and his continued passion for cooking. “I am just super grateful to be here, to be in the moment, and to still be able to cook and give people an experience,” he shared. Dorzon’s culinary journey began long before this incident. Born to Liberian immigrant parents, he admired his father, a chef who owned a successful West African restaurant.
