An official from a football club in New South Wales has stepped down following the emergence of a recording in which he made deeply offensive comments about female players. It is one individual out of hundreds involved with the club. He has been stood down. We want the girls to know the club stands with them.”
AFL Riverina also reacted to the incident, expressing its dismay over the language used in the audio clip.
