According to the reports, a 1999 red Dodge Dakota truck towing a trailer was travelling east when it veered into the opposite lane. This manoeuvre led to a collision with a westbound 2019 white GMC Canyon truck. The Montana Highway Patrol is currently undertaking an investigation to determine the circumstances surrounding this unfortunate event.
The driver of the Dodge Dakota, identified as a 66-year-old man from Kalispell, tragically died at the scene of the accident. The severity of the impact was such that the driver of the GMC Canyon, a 70-year-old woman from Libby, was airlifted to a medical centre in Kalispell, where she later succumbed to her injuries.
