The story centres on Luffy, portrayed by Iñaki Godoy, and his companions—Roronoa Zoro (Mackenyu), Nami (Emily Rudd), Usopp (Jacob Romero), and Sanji (Taz Skylar)—as they set forth on a quest to discover the legendary treasure known as “One Piece.” Season 1 concluded with an intense moment as Luffy faced his grandfather, Monkey D. Garp (Vincent Regan), who ultimately allowed the Straw Hat Pirates to continue their journey.
Eiichiro Oda, the creator of “One Piece,” previously revealed that bringing the live-action series to life was a project seven years in the making. Although a release date has yet to be announced, production for the next chapter reportedly began in Cape Town, South Africa, in November 2025, with Ian Stokes joining Joe Tracz as co-showrunner and executive producer.
