On Saturday, February 21, two surfers found themselves in a perilous situation at Cape Kiwanda Beach in Oregon when they were swept up by a rip current. The incident elicited a swift response from the Nestucca Rural Fire Protection District, which deployed resources to the scene in what was described as a potential high-angle rescue operation.
