Luigi Mangione is currently facing allegations of murdering UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson. The details of a supposed “to-do” list compiled by Mangione have emerged during ongoing evidence suppression hearings leading up to his trial.

Mangione, aged 27, is accused of fatally shooting Thompson on a Midtown Manhattan street. Despite the serious charges, Mangione has maintained his plea of not guilty to murder charges at both state and federal levels.
During a recent court session on December 8, 2025, it was disclosed that Mangione was carrying a peculiar list while on the run from authorities. The list reportedly outlined his planned escape strategy, including a hand-drawn map of Pittsburgh, a bus ticket under a false name, and a reminder to check for departing routes to Columbus or Cincinnati in Ohio.
Allegedly, the list also featured instructions to disrupt “CAM continuity,” possibly to evade law enforcement surveillance. The shocking revelations came to light during the questioning of Altoona Police Officer Christy Wasser, who conducted an initial search of Mangione’s belongings.
Wasser testified that she began searching Mangione’s black backpack out of concern for potential explosives, even though a search warrant had not been obtained at the time. Subsequently, she uncovered a loaded magazine hidden in a pair of underwear, prompting another officer to affirm Mangione’s identification.
Additionally, a red notebook believed to contain Mangione’s anti-health insurance industry manifesto was found in his possession, along with a loaded handgun and a suppressor upon further investigation at the police station.
The defence team asserts that the warrantless search of Mangione’s belongings was unlawful and aims to discredit Wasser’s testimony. Lead defence attorney Karen Friedman Agnifilo challenged Wasser’s actions, highlighting discrepancies regarding the reasons for the search and the handling of potential evidence.
A contentious moment arose regarding 11 minutes of missing bodycam footage capturing the transfer of evidence from the initial search location to the police station. Allegations suggest that Wasser switched off her camera during the transfer, raising suspicions about the handling of crucial evidence.
Throughout the marathon hearings, testimonies from multiple officers involved in Mangione’s arrest, prison guards, and prosecutors have been presented. The defence remains persistent in scrutinising the legality of the search and subsequent procedures followed by law enforcement.
As the courtroom drama unfolds, the complexities surrounding Mangione’s case continue to captivate audiences. The quest for justice in the tragic events surrounding Brian Thompson’s death remains paramount, with each new revelation shedding light on the intricate web of events leading up to the fateful incident.
The legal battle surrounding Mangione’s alleged crimes intensifies, with each new detail unveiled in court adding layers to the unfolding narrative. The pursuit of truth and accountability in this high-profile case underscores the significance of a thorough and impartial judicial process.
