A young medical student, John Aravinth, aged 20, tragically lost his life during a hiking trip in Wales after seeking help from his father and emergency services. The distressing incident occurred on May 27th in a remote area of North West Wales, where John’s lifeless body was discovered at Cwm Glas. Senior coroner Kate Robertson’s report, as obtained by PEOPLE, revealed that John’s death was a result of acute blood loss and a severe head injury.
John, a student at Edinburgh University, was out hiking with his family on May 26th when weather conditions prompted his father and sister to turn back. Despite the adverse conditions, John, known for his outdoor skills, decided to press on to achieve the summit of Yr Wyddfa (Mt. Snowdon), standing at 3,560 feet. While he is believed to have reached the peak, he later contacted his father, indicating that he was lost.
