A tragic incident unfolded as a pregnant woman lost her life, alongside a 38-year-old man, during a car crash in Las Vegas on November 18. The police have announced that the crash was caused by the woman’s boyfriend, who was driving at speeds exceeding 100 mph. The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police revealed that Gutierrez failed to decelerate for the backed-up traffic at a red light, leading to the collision with 11 other vehicles.
Following the crash, Gutierrez faced an upgrade in criminal charges, as detailed in a statement by the police on November 20. He now faces two counts of open murder, one count of attempted murder, and one count of battery involving a deadly weapon. Gutierrez is currently in custody without bond and is scheduled for a court appearance on January 6, 2026.
