Reality TV star Jen Shah, known for her appearance on ‘The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City,’ has been granted an early release date from prison. The news of her forthcoming release on December 10th has been exclusively revealed to PEOPLE.
Shah has been serving a sentence of six-and-a-half years since February 2023 for her involvement in a nationwide telemarketing fraud scheme. Due to her good behavior and active participation in prison programs, her sentence has been reduced multiple times leading to this early release.

Chris Giovanni, Shah’s manager, expressed gratitude for the Bureau of Prisons’ decision, highlighting that Jen will now have the opportunity to be reunited with her family for the holidays. He shared that Jen has undergone significant personal growth during her time in prison and is focused on building a better future for herself and her loved ones.
The Federal Bureau of Prisons confirmed Shah’s upcoming release but refrained from disclosing further details for privacy and security reasons. Shah, who is 52 years old, has been serving her sentence at the Federal Prison Camp in Bryan, Texas, alongside other high-profile inmates such as Elizabeth Holmes and Ghislaine Maxwell.
Since surrendering in February 2023, Shah has actively worked towards making restitution payments to the tune of $6.5 million to the victims of the fraud scheme. Her sentence has been progressively reduced over time, with her projected release date initially set for November 3, 2026, but now moved up significantly to December 10th.

It remains uncertain where Shah will be headed upon her release date. According to BOP guidelines, she may either return home or be transferred to a halfway house for supervised release. The final decision regarding her post-release arrangements will be made closer to the time of her departure.
Throughout her time in prison, Shah’s husband, Sharrieff “Coach” Shah, has been a constant source of support. They recently celebrated their 31st wedding anniversary, with Jen expressing deep gratitude for his unwavering love and encouragement during this challenging period.
In a reflective letter penned to PEOPLE in February 2024, Shah opened up about the hardships of her time behind bars, emphasizing the role of her faith, daily prayers, and therapy in helping her navigate the challenges of incarceration. She expressed a newfound sense of humility and a desire for a second chance as she looks forward to starting afresh post-release.
As Jen Shah prepares to step out of prison and embark on a new chapter in her life, her journey serves as a reminder of resilience and personal growth even in the face of adversity. Her story continues to evolve, promising new beginnings and opportunities for redemption as she moves towards a brighter future.
