Passenger Jet Starts to Fall Apart Mid-Air, Forcing Emergency Landing

In a dramatic turn of events, a passenger jet belonging to Rossiya Airlines was forced to make an emergency landing in Khabarovsk, Russia after parts of the aircraft started to detach mid-air. The alarming incident took place on Saturday, Nov. 15, as confirmed by both the Svodka25 Telegram channel and The Khabarovsk Transport Prosecutor’s Office channel.

According to reports, the Khabarovsk Transport Prosecutor’s Office closely monitored the emergency landing of the aircraft at Khabarovsk Airport, stating that the plane was carrying 90 passengers from Vladivostok to Blagoveshchensk when it experienced a technical malfunction, prompting the emergency landing procedure.

A witness reported to the Svodka25 Telegram channel that the plane had suffered a “skin tear” while in flight. Additionally, a video shared on social media shows the covering of one of the engines appearing to have been torn off, further substantiating the severity of the situation onboard the aircraft.

Following the emergency landing, emergency response teams including fire trucks and an ambulance were immediately dispatched to the scene. Thankfully, there were no reported injuries resulting from the incident, providing some relief amidst the chaos that ensued mid-air.

In the aftermath of the harrowing experience, some passengers expressed their reluctance to board another plane, while others patiently awaited the arrival of a backup aircraft to transport them from Vladivostok. Meanwhile, authorities have initiated a preliminary investigation into potential violations of air transport safety regulations in connection with the incident.

The Investigative Committee is diligently looking into the circumstances surrounding the emergency landing, aiming to uncover the root causes of the incident.
