Woods later expressed her gratitude for her young son, Cody, who acted swiftly by taking her phone, unlocking it, and reaching out for help via FaceTime with a family friend and neighbor named Kaya. The neighbour immediately called 911 upon realising the severity of the situation. Woods revealed in a GoFundMe post that she had been recently diagnosed with epilepsy and was struggling with frequent and severe seizures, in addition to managing diabetes and high blood pressure.
