Real Housewives of Potomac Star Wendy Osefo and Husband Eddie Osefo Arrested on Fraud Charges

Dr. Wendy Osefo, known for her role on the reality TV show The Real Housewives of Potomac, and her husband Eddie Osefo, have found themselves embroiled in legal trouble after being arrested on fraud charges in Maryland. The Westminster Police Department in Maryland confirmed that the couple is facing a total of 16 charges, seven of which are felonies related to alleged “false/misleading info fraud” amounting to over $300.
According to reports, Wendy Osefo and Eddie Osefo were booked in Westminster, Maryland on Thursday, October 9. The allegations against the couple stem from an incident where they claimed designer bags and jewelry were stolen from their bedroom during a reported burglary in Jamaica in April 2024. However, suspicions arose when Wendy was later spotted wearing one of the allegedly stolen diamond rings in a social media post. Further investigations revealed that the other items reported stolen had actually been purchased and then returned for full refunds before the purported burglary occurred.
In the prosecution’s bail recommendation documents obtained by TMZ, it was reported that the couple had allegedly claimed a $450,000 personal property loss through an insurance company. As of now, representatives for Wendy Osefo and Bravo, the network that airs The Real Housewives of Potomac, have not responded to requests for comment on this matter.
Wendy Osefo, who joined the Real Housewives of Potomac in its fifth season, is also set to appear in Bravo’s upcoming series, Wife Swap: The Real Housewives Edition, scheduled to premiere on October 14. The couple, who commemorated their 14th wedding anniversary in August, have three children together – Karter, Kruz, and Kamrynn.
