In a recent exclusive interview with PEOPLE, Miles Heizer and Liam Oh, stars of the military dramedy ‘Boots’, shared insights on their excitement for sporting buzz cuts for their roles in the show. The duo expressed their readiness and enthusiasm for undergoing this significant transformation as part of the authentic military aesthetic portrayed in the series on Netflix.
The practice of maintaining short hair is a long-standing tradition in the U.S. Armed Forces, serving practical purposes such as safety and hygiene for military personnel. Heizer and Oh embraced this aspect of realism in ‘Boots’ and revealed that the entire cast embraced the challenge with open arms. Oh mentioned how liberating the experience felt, stating, “It was kind of freeing. I liked it a lot.”
