Kody Brown Shares Wife Robyn’s Reaction to Joining ‘Special Forces’ Adventure

Kody Brown, from the popular reality show ‘Sister Wives,’ recently opened up about his wife Robyn’s initial thoughts on his decision to participate in the challenging series ‘Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test.’ As the couple walked the red carpet event in Los Angeles, Kody revealed Robyn’s reservations about him joining the cast of the intense Fox competition.
“When the show was introduced to us, she was like, ‘I don’t think I want you to do that and we’ve got to have a discussion,'” Kody shared with PEOPLE. Despite her concerns, Kody saw this opportunity as a chance to make a significant change in his life after the end of three of his four marriages.
The Fox competition series entails celebrities venturing to a foreign country to tackle various challenges reminiscent of military training. Kody recounted how he presented the concept to Robyn, leading her to acknowledge that it was a decision he was determined to pursue, regardless of her reservations.
Reflecting on whether he had heard from any of his former wives regarding his participation in the reality show, Kody mentioned that their only connection now is through the shared experience of being on ‘Sister Wives.’ This emphasises the unique dynamic of their relationships post-divorce.
Despite initial hesitations from Robyn, Kody felt confident in his decision to join ‘Special Forces’ as he sought to bring about a transformative shift in his life’s trajectory. He expressed that while it wasn’t the pivot he had envisaged, the experience turned out to be spiritually enriching for him.
In a previous interview in 2024, Kody had spoken about the challenges he faced following the breakdown of his marriages and the process of rebuilding his self-esteem. He shared his journey of forgiveness and self-acceptance as he navigated through the aftermath of the separations.
As the first to exit the spiritual marriage to Kody in 2021, Christine was followed by Janelle in 2022 and Meri in 2022. The only remaining spouse in the plural marriage is Robyn. Kody expressed his focus on healing, forgiveness, and moving forward positively amidst the changes in his family dynamics.
