This childhood obsession soon transformed into unwavering determination when she set out on a daring mission to connect with the twins in the hopes of breaking into show business.
In 2006, when online resources were limited, McNab tirelessly scoured YellowPages.com to track down the contact details of the twins’ father, suspecting it would be her best route to reach them. Convinced she had the correct number, she faced a hurdle – access to the full number required a $10 fee. Despite her mother’s initial scepticism, McNab’s persistence paid off as she convinced her to make the payment. The following day, from her bedroom floor, she dialled the number and to her surprise, the twins’ dad picked up.
McNab, now 31, recalls the moment with a mix of panic and excitement, stating, “I knew in my heart he would answer.” After a brief chat, he requested to speak with her mother, leaving McNab’s mum astounded upon realising the authenticity of the call. The unexpected invitation that followed left both McNab and her mother stunned – an offer to attend a live taping of The Suite Life and meet the boys in person.
With her childhood dream on the verge of becoming reality, McNab and her mother embarked on a journey to Los Angeles. Walking through the studio grounds where her favourite shows were filmed filled her with indescribable excitement. The experience ignited a passion within her and reinforced her desire to pursue acting.
Meeting Dylan, Cole, and the rest of the cast was a surreal experience for McNab. While she missed the opportunity for a photo with Ashley Tisdale due to overwhelming nervousness, she did get to spend quality time chatting with the Sprouse twins in the green room.
