Kelvin Evans Arrested in Connection with Beyoncé Music Theft

Kelvin Evans has been arrested in Hapeville, Georgia, in connection with the theft of unreleased music and future tour plans belonging to global icon Beyoncé. Evans, who was apprehended on Tuesday, September 16, is facing allegations of breaking into the vehicle of Beyoncé’s choreographer, Christopher Grant, and dancer Diandre Blue. The incident reportedly occurred on July 8 when Evans is believed to have stolen a flash drive containing Beyoncé’s unreleased music, concert set lists, and other valuable items.
According to official records, Evans has been charged with one count of entering a vehicle with the intent to commit theft or felony. He is currently being held on a $20,000 bond. The stolen items, including the flash drive, have yet to be recovered, leaving investigators searching for crucial evidence that could shed light on the case.
The theft took place while the vehicle, a Jeep Wagoneer belonging to Grant and Blue, was parked at the Ayla apartment building in preparation for Beyoncé’s Cowboy Carter tour performance in Atlanta. Apart from the flash drive, other items such as clothing, designer sunglasses, laptops, and headphones were reported missing by Grant and Blue. The hard drives contained significant unreleased music, show footage plans, and set lists, raising concerns about the breach of confidentiality and potential leaks of sensitive information.
Surveillance cameras in the parking garage captured the vehicle used in the theft, identified as a 2025 Hyundai Elantra with Georgia license plates. Following investigations, the authorities traced the vehicle back to its owner, who revealed that she had rented it out to her uncle, Kelvin Evans. Evans reportedly returned the car after 30 minutes, during which he allegedly removed and deposited four black bags at a specified location.
