The Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office confirmed that four felony charges have been leveled against Lil Nas X: three counts of battery with injury on a police officer and one count of resisting an executive officer. The musician is set for arraignment later in the afternoon at Van Nuys. If convicted under the California penal code, Lil Nas X could face up to three years in jail and a $10,000 fine for each charge of felony battery on a police officer and resisting an executive officer.

Following his arrest, he received medical treatment at a hospital. Subsequently, he was discharged and booked on a misdemeanor charge around 11:22 a.m. on Aug. 21. The “Old Town Road” singer spent the weekend in jail before his hearing and arraignment on Aug. 25.
