Popular ABC sitcom “Shifting Gears” is gearing up for an exciting season 2 premiere with a major reunion from the cast of the beloved show “Home Improvement.” The reunion will feature familiar faces Patricia Richardson, Richard Karn, and Debbe Dunning joining star Tim Allen on screen once again. “Home Improvement” originally ran for eight successful seasons on ABC from 1991 to 1999. Allen and Richardson portrayed the roles of husband and wife, Tim and Jill Taylor, on the show. Their characters, along with their three sons, became beloved by audiences worldwide. Karn co-starred as Tim’s trusty sidekick, Al Borland, on the home improvement TV show within the series called Tool Time.

Richardson and Karn were mainstays on “Home Improvement” throughout its entire run, while Dunning joined the cast in season 3 as Heidi Keppert. Allen has previously reunited with Richardson on ABC’s “Last Man Standing” and with Karn on History Channel shows, “Assembly Required” and “More Power.”
