Priscilla Presley has found herself in the midst of a controversial $50 million civil lawsuit that accuses her of neglecting her daughter Lisa Marie Presley’s health concerns allegedly as part of a plan to seize control of the Elvis Presley estate. In response to these serious claims, Priscilla’s attorney vehemently denies the accusations, labelling the lawsuit as a “blatant retaliation”. Daniel S. Levine, a Staff Editor at PEOPLE, reported on this unfolding legal battle, shedding light on the shocking allegations made against the 80-year-old icon.

The lawsuit, filed by Priscilla’s ex-business partners, Brigitte Kruse and Kevin Fialko, in the California Superior Court on August 11, 2025, alleges that Priscilla orchestrated a scheme to deceive her business associates, tarnish reputations with baseless accusations, and exploit Lisa Marie’s tragic demise to wrestle back control over Elvis Presley’s legacy and assets. The lawsuit specifically claims that Priscilla turned a blind eye to Lisa Marie’s health issues, which reportedly came to light at the Golden Globes in January 2023. Tragically, days after this event, Lisa Marie suffered a cardiac arrest and passed away at the age of 54.
According to the lawsuit, Priscilla was aware of Lisa Marie’s intentions to remove her as the sole trustee of an irrevocable life insurance trust, which allegedly presented Priscilla with an opportunity to regain control. The lawsuit shockingly alleges that Priscilla made critical medical decisions, such as ‘pulling the plug’ at the hospital, against Lisa Marie’s wishes to prolong her life, all before Riley Keough, Lisa Marie’s daughter, could arrive.
The lawsuit accuses Priscilla of having ulterior motives, claiming that Lisa Marie’s untimely passing served to neutralize Lisa’s efforts to remove Priscilla as the trustee, ultimately positioning Priscilla in a bid to take over Graceland. Furthermore, the plaintiffs assert that they had negotiated agreements with family members, including Riley Keough, Navarone Garcia, Lisa Marie’s twin daughters Harper and Finley Lockwood, and their father, Michael Lockwood, following challenges to the trust set up by Lisa Marie.
In a surprising twist, the lawsuit also calls out Keya Morgan as a defendant, alleging that he misrepresented his role and association with Priscilla. The plaintiffs claim that this alleged misrepresentation led to a breakdown in communication between them and Priscilla, culminating in their exclusion from key events such as the Venice premiere in November 2023.
In response to the lawsuit, Priscilla’s lawyer, Marty Singer, vehemently refutes the allegations, describing the lawsuit as one of the most preposterous and meritless he has encountered in his legal career. Singer goes on to accuse the plaintiffs of launching a vicious and baseless attack on an elderly woman as an act of revenge for previous legal actions taken against them. Singer also highlights Riley Keough’s unwavering support for her grandmother in light of these false accusations.
Unfortunately, this lawsuit is not Priscilla’s first legal battle in recent years. In July 2024, Priscilla claimed to be a victim of elder abuse, alleging that $1 million had been stolen from her. This lawsuit implicated Kruse, Fialko, and others, accusing them of manipulating Priscilla’s finances and subjecting her to exploitative conditions akin to indentured servitude. The legal proceedings surrounding this claim further underscore the complexities of Priscilla’s legal entanglements in recent times.
As this lawsuit continues to unfold, it raises important questions about the dynamics within the Presley family and the intricate webs of trust, legacy, and control entwined within. The outcome of this legal battle will not only impact the individuals involved but also shed light on the challenges faced by high-profile families in managing their estates and legacies.
