Canadian singer Shawn Mendes has recently revealed his latest body art in a series of shirtless photographs. The talented musician, known for hits like “Why Why Why,” showcased his new eagle tattoo on his upper stomach while out running errands. This fresh ink addition was created by renowned tattoo artist Kane Navasard, who shared the artwork on his Instagram in April.
The chest piece features an intricate eagle design with its wings spread, symbolizing freedom and strength. Mendes confidently displayed the tattoo as he stepped out shirtless to pick up his home-delivered groceries from Erewhon on July 7. The images captured Mendes with tousled bedhead, giving fans a glimpse of not only his latest tattoo but also the other tattoos adorning his arms and torso.
Navasard has a history of working with Mendes, as the musician previously accompanied his then-girlfriend Camila Cabello to get tattoos back in November 2019. During that tattoo session, Mendes added a small letter “A” behind his right ear as a tribute to his younger sister, Aaliyah Mendes. Additionally, Mendes has been known to take inspiration from his fans, as he once turned a fan’s butterfly drawing into a beautiful tattoo on his bicep.
In May, Mendes announced exciting news about his upcoming On the Road Again Tour, set to commemorate the 10-year anniversary of his debut album, Handwritten. The tour is scheduled to kick off in early August, with performances across Europe and North America. The singer expressed his gratitude and excitement about returning to the stage after some time away, highlighting the special connection he feels with his audience.
As Mendes gears up for his tour, he has also revealed the talented artists who will be joining him on stage. MARO and Lubiana will accompany him during the European leg of the tour, while Eddie Benjamin will be part of the North American segment. Mendes took to social media to announce his enthusiasm about having these artists join him on the journey, praising their skills and personalities.
Fans eager to catch Mendes live can now purchase tickets for the On the Road Again Tour through the singer’s official website. With a lineup of talented musicians and a celebration of Mendes’ decade-long musical journey, the tour promises to be a memorable experience for both the artist and his dedicated supporters.
