Reports suggest that on Saturday, July 5, a family camping in the Bear Creek area of the Sawtooth National Forest saw a man who matched Decker’s description. The U.S. Marshals Service Greater Idaho Task Force was cited in a report by Fox 13 Seattle confirming the potential sighting.

The family described the man as a white male, standing between 5-feet 8-inches to 5-feet 10-inches, wearing specific clothing items like a black mesh cap, black gauged earrings, a cream-colored T-shirt, black shorts, and either Converse or Vans low-top shoes, along with further distinctive features.

According to Idaho News 6, the man also sported a black Garmin watch and carried a black JanSport backpack. Despite the spotting, the individual did not engage with the family or make eye contact when approached, as per reports from a U.S. Marshals spokesperson.
