Vance Boelter, the prime suspect in the tragic shootings of two Minnesota lawmakers and their spouses, has been captured following an extensive manhunt, as reported by the AP.
Boelter was apprehended on Sunday evening, according to the AP, after allegedly firing upon both lawmakers and their partners in their residences in the early hours of June 14.
The suspect, identified as 57-year-old Vance Boelter, has been taken into custody for the shooting deaths of Democratic Minnesota legislator Melissa Hortman and her husband Mark. The shooting also targeted Democratic Senator John Hoffman and his wife Yvette, with both fortunately surviving the attack.

Governor Walz lamented the tragedy that befell Melissa Hortman, the former Democratic Speaker of the House, and her late husband Mark during the assault. Additionally, he acknowledged the survival of Senator Hoffman and his wife, who are currently receiving medical attention.
