Legendary rock band Heart faced a setback when their instruments were stolen ahead of their performance at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Atlantic City on May 31. However, there’s good news as Nancy Wilson’s stolen guitar has been found.

The Associated Press confirmed that the Atlantic City police successfully located Wilson’s custom baritone Telecaster on Tuesday, June 10. The recovery of the instrument came after a woman had purchased it from the suspected thief. Unfortunately, the 1966 Gibson EM-50 mandolin that was also stolen remains missing.
Surveillance footage showed the suspect handing over the missing guitar to a woman who then placed it in her vehicle near the venue where it was taken. Law enforcement authorities were able to track down the vehicle, contact the owner, and retrieve the instrument using automated license plate readers.
In a statement, Nancy Wilson expressed her gratitude to the Atlantic City Police Department for their swift action in recovering her guitar. She also mentioned that they are still hopeful for the safe return of Paul Moak’s vintage mandolin, which has significant sentimental value to the band.
Heart shared that the stolen instruments, including Wilson’s custom-built baritone Telecaster and Moak’s vintage mandolin, hold immense importance beyond their monetary value. They described the instruments as extensions of their musical souls and emphasized the sentimental attachment they have towards them.
The rockers are offering a reward for any information that may lead to the return of the missing mandolin. Despite the theft, Heart will continue with their An Evening with Heart tour across North America until June 28, showcasing their resilience and dedication to their fans.
The incident serves as a reminder of the vulnerability that artists face when their prized instruments are targeted by thieves. However, the recovery of Nancy Wilson’s guitar brings a sense of relief and closure to the band as they gear up to continue their tour and connect with their audience through the power of music.
The support and cooperation from law enforcement, along with the band’s unwavering determination, highlight the unity and perseverance within the music community. As fans eagerly anticipate Heart’s upcoming performances, the recovered guitar symbolizes hope and resilience in the face of adversity.
In conclusion, the recovery of Nancy Wilson’s stolen guitar marks a significant victory for Heart and reinforces the band’s spirit of resilience and determination. The incident sheds light on the challenges artists face when their instruments are targeted, but it also showcases the power of collaboration and support within the music industry.
