A judge has ruled against DDG’s attempt to stop Halle Bailey from travelling out of the country with their son, Halo. According to court documents seen by PEOPLE on Thursday, June 5, DDG’s request to prevent the Little Mermaid star from taking their 17-month-old son to another country has been turned down. The streamer had also applied for a temporary restraining order against Bailey, which was also rejected. This decision came after DDG, whose real name is Darryl Dwayne Granberry Jr., lodged an emergency order on Wednesday, June 4. In response, Bailey submitted a counter-request to dismiss his motion and allow her to take their son on a vacation to Italy. Both Bailey and DDG’s representatives have not commented on the ruling so far.

The streamer had earlier filed a motion seeking an urgent hearing to bar Bailey from travelling internationally with their son, Halo, particularly for a vacation to Italy. Alleging that Bailey posed a significant “risk” to herself and their child, DDG also demanded a domestic violence restraining order, citing repeated documented threats of self-harm made by Bailey. He expressed concerns that if Halo left the country, the toddler would not have access to the necessary legal protections or emergency support mechanisms. In a separate incident in May, Bailey had been awarded temporary physical and legal custody of Halo after she accused DDG of physical and emotional abuse.
The temporary restraining order issued at that time mandated that the Twitch streamer stay at least 100 yards away from Bailey and Halo at all times. Bailey additionally requested that DDG be denied visitation rights with their child and proposed that any supervised visits he had be managed by a professional company once a week for six hours while in Los Angeles. Moreover, Bailey sought a court order preventing DDG from taking Halo outside of Los Angeles County. The duo ended their relationship in 2024 after starting to date in 2022.
