Orlando Bloom has revealed his initial skepticism towards the iconic Pirates of the Caribbean film franchise. In an exclusive interview with L’Officiel, the 48-year-old actor opened up about his first reaction to the idea of a movie based on a theme park ride.
“My agent said, ‘Disney wants to make a movie based on a theme park ride,’ and I was like, ‘This is crazy?'” Bloom recounted. At the time, he was filming the movie Ned Kelly in Australia with actor Geoffrey Rush, who also starred in the Pirates franchise as pirate Hector Barbossa.
