The father of Austin Metcalf, a teenage boy tragically killed at a track meet, is speaking out against the decision to allow his alleged killer, Karmelo Anthony, to graduate high school. Despite Anthony receiving his diploma, he will not be permitted to take part in any graduation ceremonies, as confirmed by the advocacy group Next Generation Action Network (NGAN).
The incident, which took place in April, involved an altercation between Anthony and Austin that resulted in Austin being fatally stabbed. The Frisco Independent School District (FISD) has made it clear that Anthony will not be participating in any senior graduation activities, although he will graduate with a 3.7 GPA after meeting all necessary requirements.
