Former Georgia Teacher Accused of Inappropriately Touching 2 Elementary School Girls

A former elementary school teacher in Georgia is facing serious allegations of inappropriately touching two young female students. Brandon Hill, a former teacher at Trip Elementary School in Grayson, Georgia, has been accused of misconduct involving the two young girls in March. The incidents have led to Hill facing charges of child cruelty and battery.
According to reports from Atlanta’s ABC affiliate WSB-TV, the allegations against Hill detail instances where he allegedly touched the students inappropriately. The accusations state that Hill, aged 29, reportedly touched one of the female students on six different occasions, rubbing her hair, head, back, and shoulders. In one instance, the student even resorted to cutting her hair in an attempt to avoid recognition by the teacher.
In an arrest affidavit obtained by WSB-TV, it was revealed that Hill instructed the student not to speak while he was touching her, claiming it was “quiet time.” Additionally, another student came forward accusing the former teacher of similar inappropriate behaviour, including stroking her hair and rubbing her back and shoulders without consent.
The second affidavit outlined that despite the student repeatedly asking Hill to stop, he continued to touch her inappropriately. As a result of these accusations, Hill was arrested and is now facing a first-degree felony child cruelty charge, along with a count of simple battery, a misdemeanor offence.
Following the serious nature of the allegations, Gwinnett County Public Schools took swift action by removing Hill from the classroom immediately after becoming aware of the situation. A spokesperson for the school district reiterated their commitment to prioritising the safety and well-being of their students and staff during this challenging time.
Gwinnett County Police Department and Gwinnett County Schools Police Department are currently investigating the case further. However, they have not yet responded to requests for comments regarding the ongoing investigation. Hill, who posted a $6,000 bond, is awaiting his court appearance.
