In December 2020, Lacy entered the world as a fighter, but sadly, her life was cut short by sudden unexpected infant death syndrome compounded by COVID and rhinovirus when she was just over a year old. Meri and Andrew navigated the depths of grief, with Andrew sharing with Spectrum News how losing Lacy was the most painful experience he had ever endured. The couple’s unwavering love for their late daughter is evident in their journey towards expanding their family.

Following Lacy’s passing, the Ferraris embarked on fertility treatments, hoping to welcome another child into their lives.
