Carlos Santana Rushed to Hospital Before Texas Concert

Renowned guitarist Carlos Santana was rushed to the hospital just before his scheduled performance in San Antonio, Texas. A representative for Santana, 77, confirmed that the show at the Majestic Theater had to be postponed due to an incident of dehydration experienced by the musician.
Michael Vrionis, president of Universal Tone Management, stated, “It is with profound disappointment that I have to inform you all that tonight’s show in San Antonio has been postponed. Mr. Santana was at the venue preparing for tonight’s show when he experienced an event that was determined to be dehydration. Out of an abundance of caution and for Mr. Santana’s health, the decision to postpone the show was the most prudent course of action.”
The representative continued, expressing Santana’s well-being and eagerness to return to San Antonio and resume his US Tour soon. Ticket holders have been advised to retain their tickets for the rescheduled date. Santana had recently faced an injury in January 2025 when he broke his finger in a fall, leading to the postponement of his Las Vegas residency.
Santana is no stranger to health challenges, having suffered a similar collapse from dehydration on stage in July 2022. Following a fainting episode at a concert in Michigan, Santana was hospitalized for his injuries. Despite these setbacks, the 10-time Grammy winner has expressed his determination to continue performing live as long as possible.
In a previous interview in 2023, Santana shared his outlook on life and performing, saying, “Everything’s a fun time because there’s still a 7-year-old Carlos in me that looks at life like, ‘What are we going to get into today?’ I’m just starting, and everything has prepared me for this.”
