Teenage Girls Charged with Murder of Mother in Utah Rental Home

Two teenagers have been charged with the murder of a woman found dead in a rental home in Utah. The body of 47-year-old Andreea Mottram was discovered by cleaning staff from VRBO in a rental property in Washington City, Utah, on March 23. Authorities named the suspects as 16-year-old Mihaela Gabriela “Bella” Sorescu, the daughter of the victim, and her 17-year-old friend Abigael “Jay” Flanagan. The Washington County Attorney’s office confirmed the charges after the pair were taken into custody on April 4.
The tragic incident unfolded after Mottram, originally from Romania and a social worker, traveled to Las Vegas, Nevada, where she rented a car on March 20. She was accompanied by the two juveniles, and the vehicle was later located in Cedar City, Utah, less than an hour away from where her body was found.
