Anna Harp, a 33-year-old wedding photographer and content creator from Siloam Springs, Ark., holds on dearly to a note that her late father, Rudolph Clausing, left behind. Rudolph Clausing passed away at the age of 66 on Jan. 13, 2021, due to lung disease after contracting COVID-19. He was described by Anna as the funniest, kindest, and most selfless person she had ever known. Unfortunately, due to the restrictions of the pandemic, Anna and her family were unable to be with her father during his final moments.
Following her father’s passing, Anna’s mother went to collect his belongings from the hospital. It was in this solemn moment that they discovered a final note that Rudolph had penned. The poignant message within the note read, “It has been such a good life.” These words struck a chord with Anna, who decided to immortalise them by getting them tattooed on her leg.

Describing the note as her most cherished possession, Anna shared that the message serves as a reminder to live a fulfilled life, just as her father did. In a heartfelt gesture, a company called Moments Grove reached out to Anna after noticing her posts about the note on social media platforms. They offered to create a framed, 3D-printed version of the note, which she gladly accepted. When the artwork arrived, Anna was quick to display it prominently in her kitchen, where it acts as a daily source of inspiration.
Having shared her tattooed note online previously, Anna never expected the overwhelming response she received when she decided to post about the framed note on TikTok. The video quickly went viral, garnering over 1.6 million views and hundreds of heartfelt comments from individuals who shared their own experiences with final messages from loved ones.
Moved by the outpouring of support and empathy from strangers, Anna found solace in the fact that grief is a universal emotion that connects people from all walks of life. Despite the bittersweet feelings that the note evokes, Anna has decided to keep it prominently displayed in her home, intending for future generations to also appreciate the profound sentiment behind her father’s words.
As Anna reflects on the impact of her father’s final note, she hopes that her son and future grandchildren will carry on the legacy of her father’s wisdom and live their lives to the fullest. With the framed note serving as a symbol of love, gratitude, and resilience, Anna finds comfort in the enduring presence of her father’s spirit within her home.
