American Influencer Faces Backlash for Controversial Video Involving Baby Wombat

Social media influencer Sam Jones has recently found herself in hot water after posting a video of her taking a baby wombat away from its mother in Australia. Following Jones’ departure from Australia, Home Affairs Minister Tony Burke confirmed that her visa status was under review. Prime Minister Albanese condemned the influencer’s actions, calling the video an “outrage” and cautioning against similar behaviour towards other wildlife.
