Sasha Schreiber, the son of renowned actor Liev Schreiber, is growing up right before his father’s eyes. In a recent exclusive, PEOPLE had the opportunity to catch up with the Perfect Couple actor, 57, and his 17-year-old son at the New York City premiere of Cirque Du Soleil’s Luzia. The father-son duo was seen walking the red carpet together, marking a shift in their relationship as Sasha transitions into adulthood.
Reflecting on the experience of attending events with his eldest child, Liev Schreiber shared that it felt a bit strange for him. He expressed a sense of self-consciousness, noting that walking the red carpet with Sasha was a departure from the usual dynamic of parenting a younger child. The X-Men star candidly revealed, “He doesn’t feel like my kid anymore. He feels like a man now, so, it’s a whole different thing for us.”
Liev Schreiber shares two children, son Sasha and daughter Kai, 16, with his former partner Naomi Watts, and one daughter, Hazel Bee, 1, with his current wife, Taylor Neisen. Despite their busy schedules, Liev emphasised the importance of family dinners to stay connected and close. During the interview, Sasha humorously suggested that if his dad had a hidden talent suitable for the circus, it would be competitive hot dog eating, a sentiment Liev Schreiber playfully agreed with.
