Greater Manchester Police recently made a significant discovery in their search for the body of Rania Alayed, a woman who was tragically killed by her husband 12 years ago in England. The remains of a human body were found in Thirsk, following a search that commenced on February 24th. Rania Alayed, who was 25 years old at the time of her murder, was living in Norton on Teesside before relocating to Greater Manchester. She was killed by her husband in Salford, Manchester, in 2013. Her husband, Ahmed Al-Khatib, was convicted of her murder in June 2014 and is serving a life sentence with a minimum term of 20 years. Specialist officers are conducting further investigations at the scene where the remains were found by the A19 in Thirsk.
