Two men are facing serious allegations of scamming and killing an elderly man, whose remains were tragically discovered in a yard. The incident, which has shocked the community, unfolded in Florida, with details emerging about the heinous crimes committed.

According to a press release from the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office, Joseph Romano, 71, was reported missing on January 16. Suspicions were raised when another man, Joseph Schiliro, 45, was seen attempting to pick up Romano’s mail from the apartment complex where he resided.
Further investigations revealed that significant amounts of money had been transferred from Romano’s accounts to accounts linked to Schiliro. Another individual, Silviano Christman, who had flown in from New York, was also implicated in the fraudulent financial activities connected to Romano.
The disturbing case took a gruesome turn when Romano’s dismembered body was unearthed from a shallow grave in Schiliro’s backyard in Valrico, Florida, on February 13. The discovery sent shockwaves through the local community and law enforcement agencies.
