Police Suspend Search for Man Who Hooked Shark and Got Pulled into the Ocean

An Australian fisherman, Paul Barning, was tragically pulled into the ocean by a shark during a fishing competition in the NSW Game Fishing Association’s interclub state championships off the coast of Newcastle on February 23. After three days of searching for Barning, who was entangled in a line attached to a large mako shark, the search has now been suspended.
