Billy McFarland Provides Insights on Second Fyre Festival with Tickets Priced Up to £1.1 Million

Billy McFarland, known for his involvement in the failed Fyre Festival, has disclosed details about the upcoming second edition of the event. After serving a four-year prison sentence in connection to the original festival, McFarland shared with TODAY that Fyre Festival 2 is set to take place from May 30 to June 2 on Isla Mujeres, a Mexican island nestled in the Caribbean Sea. During his appearance on the show, he expressed his excitement about turning his dream into reality, stating that “FYRE 2 is real, and it’s about taking the vision forward.”
Although the lineup of performers for the festival has not been revealed yet, McFarland confirmed that it will feature artists from various genres including electronic, hip hop, pop, and rock. He further added that the entertainment at the festival will not be limited to music, hinting at possible demonstrations by a professional skateboarder and teachings from an MMA champion on techniques. Tickets for the event went on sale on February 24, with prices ranging from £1,400 to a staggering £1.1 million.
In a previous interview with Savannah Sellers on TODAY, McFarland had mentioned plans for the festival to be held from April 25-28 on a private island off the coast of Mexico. He teased the inclusion of “karate combat” as part of the entertainment offerings. When discussing the ticket prices, McFarland highlighted that those opting for the higher-priced tickets would have an exclusive experience, including yacht accommodations and adventurous activities like scuba diving and island hopping via small planes.
The mention of cheese sandwiches on the menu at the upcoming Fyre Festival stirred memories of the infamous image that circulated after the original festival. McFarland assured that the sandwiches would be available, promising a gourmet twist to them, albeit at a premium price point.
