Rihanna Makes a Rare Public Appearance in Court to Support A$AP Rocky

In a rare public appearance, Rihanna, alongside their sons RZA, 2, and Riot, 1, showed up at the Clara Shortridge Foltz Criminal Justice Center in downtown Los Angeles to support A$AP Rocky, who is currently facing trial for allegedly firing a semi-automatic handgun at his former friend A$AP Relli in November 2021.
Rihanna, 36, arrived at the court during the prosecution’s opening statements, accompanied by her two toddlers and an older woman. The children, RZA and Riot, were well-behaved throughout the proceedings, hardly making any noise as they sat with their mother. During a break in the court session, Rihanna was seen walking in the hallway with Rocky, each holding one of their sons.
As they huddled together, Rocky gave a baby back to Rihanna and then the singer told her sons to wish their “Daddy good luck.” After exchanging kisses, Rihanna left through a back door while the trial resumed. This marks the first time that their children have joined them in court, showing a united front to support Rocky during this challenging time.
Rocky, aged 36, had previously turned down a plea deal for charges of assault with a semiautomatic firearm in January 2024, leading to his trial. With enough evidence presented, the judge decided to proceed with the trial, which commenced on January 24. If found guilty, Rocky could potentially face up to 24 years in prison for the alleged incident involving A$AP Relli.
The rapper was arrested at LAX in April 2022 following the altercation but was later released on bail. A civil lawsuit was then filed against Rocky by Relli in August 2022, citing assault, battery, and emotional distress. Despite the accusations, Rocky has consistently denied any wrongdoing.
Rihanna had previously shown her support for Rocky by attending court proceedings on January 29, but this recent appearance with their children highlights the family’s solidarity during this challenging time.
