Kayla Nicole, the renowned sports broadcaster, recently sat down for an exclusive interview with PEOPLE to discuss her Super Bowl prediction. As the much-anticipated Super Bowl showdown approaches, Nicole revealed her thoughts on which team she believes will emerge victorious on February 9 in New Orleans.
Despite having dated Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce for five years before their split in May 2022, Nicole maintains that she does not have a personal preference when it comes to the Super Bowl teams. However, she did not hold back in sharing her prediction, expressing her belief that the Kansas City Chiefs will secure the win over the Philadelphia Eagles.
Although Nicole admitted that she is not typically a betting person, she singled out Chiefs’ quarterback Patrick Mahomes as the key player who she believes will “seal the deal” for the team. With Mahomes leading the Chiefs’ back-to-back titles defense, Nicole is confident in her choice and would not hesitate to place her bet on the Chiefs.
Nicole has solidified her presence in the sports industry as an on-air sports broadcaster, hosting “I’m Athlete Daily” on Revolt TV. A graduate of Pepperdine University with a degree in broadcast journalism, Nicole’s expertise and passion for sports have been evident throughout her career, holding various sports reporting roles.
As Super Bowl week unfolds, Nicole finds herself immersed in professional commitments, particularly as she covers the event for “I’m Athlete.” She recently touched down in New Orleans for the big game, where she will be actively involved, including reporting on the Eagles’ press conference.
In light of the significant historical milestone that the Kansas City Chiefs could achieve with a potential three-peat Super Bowl win, Nicole expressed her excitement for the game. Should the Chiefs emerge victorious, they would become the first NFL team ever to achieve such a feat, adding to the anticipation and thrill surrounding the event.
With four Super Bowl victories under their belt (Super Bowl IV, LIV, LVII, and LVIII), the Kansas City Chiefs are poised to make history with a third consecutive win. Nicole’s enthusiasm for the game is palpable as she looks forward to witnessing what could be a groundbreaking moment in football history.
Despite her previous personal connections to the Chiefs through her past relationship with Kelce, Nicole’s professional approach to sports reporting and her genuine love for the game shine through in her insightful Super Bowl predictions.
