Christine Brown Woolley, popularly known for her role on the reality show “Sister Wives,” has made a significant announcement. The 52-year-old star revealed her upcoming memoir on Instagram on Feb. 4. The book, titled “Sister Wife: A Memoir of Faith, Family and Finding Freedom,” is set to be published by Gallery Books later this year.

Growing up in Utah within a polygamist family, Brown Woolley always dreamt of having a perfect family. Her dream seemingly came true when she married Kody Brown in 1994, becoming his third wife. The family’s life in the spotlight began in 2010 with the launch of the TLC reality show “Sister Wives,” which showcased the dynamic of the spiritual marriage among Kody, Brown Woolley, and her fellow sister wives Meri, Janelle, and Robyn Brown.

Despite the show’s success, Brown Woolley faced inner struggles and challenges that eventually led her to make the difficult decision to leave both the church and her marriage. In her upcoming memoir, she provides readers with a candid account of her journey towards self-discovery and empowerment beyond the confines of her previous life.
Described as “gritty and honest” by Brown Woolley herself, the memoir delves into her experiences growing up in a polygamist setting, navigating her marriage and family life, and ultimately finding her own path to freedom. The star also reflects on her emotional journey post-divorce, culminating in her marriage to David Woolley in 2023. Notably, Janelle and Meri had also exited the marriage in the years following Brown Woolley’s departure in 2021.
Having previously co-authored a book about her polygamist marriage in 2012, Brown Woolley is now set to release her solo memoir. The book cover photoshoot and the writing process were shared by Brown Woolley on Instagram, where she acknowledged her co-writer Kelly Kennedy.
In a social media post from September 2024, Brown Woolley offered words of encouragement to women who may find themselves in similar situations of feeling “trapped, stuck, and afraid.” She emphasized the importance of hope and self-belief in creating a brighter future.
“Sister Wife: A Memoir of Faith, Family, and Finding Freedom” is scheduled for release on Sept. 16 and is currently available for pre-order. As Brown Woolley opens up about her personal journey of resilience and self-discovery, readers can anticipate a raw and inspiring account of her experiences and the lessons she has learned along the way.
The release of Brown Woolley’s memoir adds to the growing collection of celebrity memoirs that offer intimate insights into their lives and experiences. It serves as a testament to the power of storytelling in shaping and sharing personal narratives of growth, transformation, and strength.
As fans and readers await the official release of “Sister Wife,” they can look forward to gaining a deeper understanding of Brown Woolley’s journey and the courage it took to embrace change and forge a new path towards authenticity and freedom.
