Lynne Ladner, the Town Manager of Ocean Ridge, disclosed in a news conference that the landscaper was pulled headfirst into the wood chipper up to his shoulders, leading to a fatal outcome as he was decapitated by the machine. Despite the wood chipper being equipped with an emergency shut-off switch, the incident unfolded so rapidly that his colleagues couldn’t activate it in time to prevent the tragedy.
